The Sabretooth paper airplane flies fantastically if thrown straight up into the air or as a normal glider. It’s great!

Written Instructions

Take a sheet of A4 sized paper as in FIG. 1.

Fold the top and bottom left hand corners into the center as in FIG. 2

Now fold the entire left hand side triangle to the right to give FIG. 3.

Turn the entire sheet over and repeat the action in FIG. 2 and then turn the sheet back to give FIG. 4. You can see this at 0:55 in the video.

Now fold the small left hand triangle to the right along the dotted line in FIG. 4 making A touch B. This gives you FIG. 5.

Turn the paper over to give FIG. 6

The two small triangles at the left hand end are flaps of paper. Put your finger into the bottom flap and pull it out as the arrows show in FIG. 6. If done correctly you will have FIG. 7. See this at 1:29 in the video.

Now repeat this process with the other triangle to give FIG. 8

Now turn the form in FIG. 8 to give FIG. 9.

Fold along the dotted lines in FIG. 10 to give the form shown head on in FIG. 11. This can be done in two ways. Both fly quite well. Try which works best for you.

Flying Instructions
This is a fantastic plane. Throw it as hard as you can straight up. Preferably with a strong wind blowing towards you and watch the plane glide and swoop like a bird. It nearly always ends up a little asymmetric so will also fly in a great arc. The lower it gets the faster it goes. It’s great though a little difficult to do!
